Welcome to the Visit Noble County Pints, Paddles, and Public Parks Pass where you'll embark on a nature-filled adventure in Noble County, stopping in for a pint of craft beer along the way! The pass includes more than 30+ locations throughout Noble County where you can drink a pint of beer, paddle a waterway, and explore our outstanding park system. When you sign up for the passport, you unlock prizes as you grab a pint, paddle, or disc and check in at breweries, waterways, and public parks using your phone’s GPS technology! This pass is free! All you must do is sign up to explore the best Noble County has to for a rejuvenating experience!

Made in Noble, Albion Ale House home of Guesswork Brewing company is One of the region's favorites for hand-crafted burgers and Brews! Bixler Lake Campground Beach
Come enjoy Bixler Lake this year! Stay in the cozy Cabins or camp out at the Campsite. Paddle around Bixler Lake, play a round of disc golf, or enjoy the sandy beaches along the lake. A pedestrian walkway and nature trail of over three miles circles the lake through the wetland nature area, making Bixler Lake a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy the outdoors.

Bixler Lake Park
Bixler Lake Park surrounds the 117-acre lake, providing unique opportunities for outdoor recreation and education. Circling the lake are a pedestrian walkway and nature trail with observation platforms perfect for observing wildlife. Six open-air pavilions are available for reservation and numerous playgrounds provide fun for children. Fishing, boating, and swimming are popular activities. Other facilities include a lighted softball field, campground, tennis courts and basketball courts.

Bixler Lake Public Beach
Come to Kendallville and paddle Bixler Lake! A pedestrian walkway and nature trail of over three miles circles the lake through the wetland nature area, and it runs by two beaches and landscaped woodlands.
Chain O Lakes State Park (Sand Lake Public Access)
This is lake country and a small boater’s paradise. Nine connecting lakes will center your adventures at Chain O’Lakes with boat rentals available at Sand Lake. Consider the 9 Lake Paddle Challenge as a part of your stay. Paddle through the chain of serene kettle lakes, hike the 26 miles of forested trails, fish the electric-motors-only lakes, stay overnight in a forested hillside family cabin, visit the park’s historic one-room Stanley Schoolhouse, or explore the Nature Center. Other facilities for visitors include a campground, beach, and picnic shelters.

Chain O Lakes State Park (Stanley School House)
A historic one-room school building located at Chain O' Lakes State Park. It was built in 1915, and is a one-story, "T"-plan, vernacular brick building. The front facade features a large central projecting gable topped by a belfry. The building operated as a school until 1954 and housed a nature center until 2013, when it was restored to a one-room school house.

Edna W. Spurgeon Woodland Reserve - ACRES Land Trust
The Edna W. Spurgeon Woodland Reserve was the first ACRES property. It's an area of low ridges or kames left by glaciers and cut by glacial meltwater. You will find a mature forest of beech, sugar maple, and tulip trees, among the largest in the state. In this preserve, beautiful year-round, its colorful spring wildflower display is not to be missed: Dutchman's breeches, hepatica, bloodroot, spring beauty, and celandine poppy decorate the hillsides with white, pink, blue, and yellow.

Eley Memorial Park
West of the downtown stoplight in Avilla, also along W. Albion Street, is Eley Memorial Park, the town’s main park. It offers a variety of recreational amenities including tennis courts, playgrounds, picnic shelters, horseshoe pits, basketball courts, and a gazebo. Three ball diamonds are supported by a concession stand with restrooms and batting cages.

Just north of US 6 on Brown Street, which runs parallel to the highway, lies the Elkhart Township Park, featuring two baseball diamonds. In June 2020, Elkhart Township added a new playground.

Chain of trails connecting communities that encourage healthy and active lifestyles, improve the quality of life and provide opportunities to enjoy Indiana's natural beauty. Fishing Line Trail is one premier section of the trail system! Free parking is at the Gene Stratton Porter State Historic Site in Rome City. The trail is ideal for walking, hiking, running, and biking. This paved trail is dog friendly!

G. Martin Kenney Memorial Park
Located just off W. Union St., Kenney Park features a new (in 2020) 18-hole disc golf course that has quickly become a destination for the region’s disc golf enthusiasts. Other highlights here include three baseball diamonds, splash pad, basketball court, soccer field, playground, walking trail with exercise stations, and an indoor recreation center.

The Cabin at Wildflower Woods is the beloved home and final resting place of Gene Stratton-Porter, one of Indiana's most widely read authors and one of the world's first nature photographers and conservationists. The Gene Stratton-Porter Memorial Society seeks to share her legacy with visitors by telling her story and making her achievements relevant for today's society and future generations.

Hidden Diamonds Park is 89 acres of rolling hills located just off Weber Road in Albion. The premier outdoor recreational area features a diverse array of outdoor recreation including soccer fields and concessions, lighted baseball/softball diamonds, a sand volleyball pit, lighted basketball court, disc golf course, playground, and walking trails. Open-air pavilions are also available for rent.

Jennie Thompson Memorial Garden
go south on S. Martin Street to W. Union Street, then head west. Just down the road, at 520 W. Union St. is the Jenny Thompson Memorial Garden, featuring stunning floral landscapes and seating areas ideal for meditation or a good book. Winding pathways through the garden, and continuing north, will soon connect us to Kenney Park, the city’s primary spot for outdoor recreation.

Sitting at the south end of Kerr Island at Sylvan Lake, along Sylvan Avenue, is Lakeside Park. This small park features a basketball court, playground, and lakefront access with benches to enjoy the view.

Lloyd W. Bender Memorial Forest
Enter this preserve on a short boardwalk over a wetland, then go uphill and downhill, traversing a wetland forest, an upland forest, an area of forested floodplain of the Elkhart River called The Spreads, and a brushy section of sedge meadow.
Mallard's Roost, Wawaka
Paddle the beautiful Elkhart River at Mallard Roost #2 Public Access is a Boat ramp located at Wawaka, Indiana 46794, US. Adjacent to Harry Stuff Brewing Company and nearby Edna W. Spurgeon Woodland Reserve - ACRES Land Trust.
Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center Trails
Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center of Goshen College is a 1,189-acre nature sanctuary rich in biodiversity near Wolf Lake, Indiana. Merry Lea has eight miles of hiking trails that provide opportunities to explore many ecosystems. Our trail system can be accessed at the Learning Center (South Trailhead) and the Kesling Farmstead (East Trailhead). Open daily from dawn to dusk

Parking
Parking lots can be found at the Learning Center and Kesling Farmstead. The gate to the Learning Center parking lot closes at 5 pm. If you plan on hiking after that time, please park on the side of the driveway outside of the gate.

Fishermen will find a variety of fish including rainbow trout and sockeye salmon here. Whether you’re fly fishing, spinning or baitcasting your chances of getting a bite here are good. So grab your favorite fly fishing rod and reel, and head out to Williams Lake.
